The place
The first thing that strikes you about working at Oreon Partners is our building. It’s iconic! Built in 1874 and earning a place in the Australian Heritage Register, it’s quite possibly the most unique place you’ll ever work in. Mahogany-lined rooms, a sweeping staircase, an ornate balcony with views of the parklands – so much drama and history. It’s the perfect place to challenge the typical ‘corporate environment’ so many other accounting firms adopt.
The people & culture
The second thing that will strike you about Oreon Partners is how friendly our people are. We have a very flat hierarchy and we’re all in it together. Decisions are made fast, you’ll work in small teams of 3-5 people so you can really make a difference, and you’ll work directly with our Partners. Our team is young and many members have young families, so we offer flexibility and an excellent work/life balance. Our team-orientated approach threads through lots of social activities too, such as Friday afternoon drinks on the balcony, regular dinners together, team lunches and attendance at events.
The work
We work with some of the most dynamic and entrepreneurial businesspeople in SA. Our clients’ businesses are fast-paced, growing and interesting. Our work is varied, challenging and makes a difference – and you’ll work directly with clients to provide hands-on service. As one of the biggest users of Xero in South Australia, we have truly built a practice using cloud accounting. This makes us very mobile and able to service clients wherever they – or we – are, using the latest technology and software add-ons.
