Lara began her working life as an economist and was involved in agricultural policy research in the developing world, which required her to prepare budgets and financials for grant applications. This work triggered her interest in accounting and finance, and when she went back to study for a master’s degree in accounting, she was drawn into the profession for good.
At Oreon, Lara most enjoys having the chance to develop ongoing relationships with clients and helping them meet their financial and lifestyle goals, as well as dealing with challenging advisory scenarios that arise. Though she works with clients across a variety of industries, she takes special interest in working with small to medium-sized enterprises with a focus on growth and improvement of internal systems.
Lara is known for being friendly, approachable, and reliable, and she’s always on hand to provide timely, helpful advice to both clients and colleagues. She’s passionate about mentoring others and creating an engaging work environment. Lara takes an active role in Oreon’s marketing team and empowers her team to meet their own professional and personal goals.
